Research & Analysis
The University Research Services Laboratory (ULUB) offers specialised research and analytical services for companies and institutions outside the academic sector. Our laboratories are equipped with unique, advanced research apparatus, operated by a team of experienced scientists and experts. We carry out a wide range of analyses — from material and chemical testing, through biological, biotechnological and environmental research, to customised solutions designed for the Client’s needs.

What we offer:
Biological research
Analysis of biological samples, microbiology, molecular biology, organism identification, research on biological processes, light microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, confocal, STED.
Chemical research
Qualitative and quantitative analyses of chemical substances, spectroscopy, chromatography, identification of chemical compounds.
Biotechnological research
Studies in genetic engineering, analyses of proteins and nucleic acids, tests of biological activity of substances.
Environmental research
Assessment of water, soil and air quality, pollution monitoring, trace-metal and pesticide analysis, environmental impact assessments.
Material research
Analysis of the structure and properties of materials, electron microscopy, atomic-force microscopy, spectroscopy, strength testing and ageing tests.
Physicochemical research
Measurement of physical and chemical properties of substances and materials, thermal analysis, mass spectrometry.
Microbiological research
Detection of microorganisms in environmental, food and clinical samples, antibiotic-sensitivity tests, sterility tests, virucidal activity testing of materials, surfaces and aerosols.
